I love to paint and draw, and have lots of work that I think would make excellent graphics for boards. I don’t know how to go about promoting my work. Do I send portfolios? An email to companies?

call them and talk to them about possibly meeting and showing them your designs

Create a profile. It’s 100% free and you can upload image/audio and video files to promote your business. You can create a blog, advertise in the classifieds, link to any youtube clips/ myspace etc. you have uploaded, publicise events, participate and promote in the forums etc. and manage it all from a single profile page.
Just to be different and stand out from the crowd, why not create a mini ad campaign video and upload it for maximum impact?
The site members are other businesses, individuals promioting their talent, and peopel who just want to share hobbies, ideas and network. It’s ideal for people who don’t want the hassle of setting up and maintaing their own website, or have the costs associated with developing, domain name purchasing, hosting fees etc. Best of all, it’s quick and easy to set up.
